Dr. Patel was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in the northwest suburb of Schaumburg. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. Dr. Patel attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, and graduated in 2012. He was an active member in the American Student Dental Association. While in dental school, he participated in a dental outreach program providing dental care to the underserved population in Haiti and plans to continue outreach in the future. Dr. Patel also received the Gentle Dental Award in recognition of his excellence in patient care. Following his graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY.
In 2013, upon the completion of his GPR, Dr. Patel moved to Ithaca, NY to join Richards and McCutcheon as an associate. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Tompkins Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Patel met his wife, Heather, when they both attended Schaumburg High School. They enjoy spending time outdoors, accompanied by their energetic yellow lab, Emma. In his free-time Dr. Patel stays active by cycling, hiking, and cross-country skiing. He’s looking forward to finding new hobbies and activities to keep him busy in Ithaca.
